Good information, poor delivery

This book contains some good information for someone who is new to permaculture and wants a broad overview with some specific pointers. If you have studied permaculture more than fleetingly you will not learn anything new here thought.

The book sounds almost like it was poorly translated. It needs another couple runs through the editing process to improve word selection. I was able to understand what was intended but in some cases that was only because I already knew the information. Sentences saying things like “may be allowed up to 20 hens but no chickens” would be much more clearly written as “20 hens but no roosters”. For the most part you should still be able to understand what is meant.

Unfortunately the performance was worse than the writing. The narrator ran into many words that he did not know so he annunciated overt syllable one at a time to work his way through the word. This is a time when you should stop the recording and start again at the beginning of the sentence or paragraph. The narrator sympathetic continued time and time again. He had a great voice for it and was very pleasant to listen to most of the time; he just needs to keep practicing and improving his skills.

To the reader:
Would I buy it again? No
Would I recommend it? Probably not; there are better introductions to permaculture as well as more in depth books to choose from (although no real options for audiobooks yet
Would I keep this book on my shelf? No, unfortunately in its current rendition I would probably dispose of it. Maybe put it in a book box.

To the author:
Please bring this to your editor and work on it; this deserves more attention and a much better 2nd version

To the recording crew:
Please redo this and strive for a higher quality level of production including doing retakes when necessary.

If you are into soil, you'll love it.

I have a thing for soil so this was a great listen and l like hearing the story of people who are also on a journey of learning how to regenerate the soil. This book is a testament to how amazing and profitable regenerative permaculture is, as well as how much consumers seek nutrient dense foods and transparent means of production. I learned a lot.

Surprise

The sublime success of my permaculture garden rests on this book. I realized I made so many wrong steps the previous years and luckily, thanks to this manual, I could fix them all, each of the contents was discussed distinctively and satisfactorily. The most helpful part for me was ‘Building a terrace system’; I’ve been looking for a good guide on this argument for so long, and finally I found one. I was also able to study food crops very well with the help of this book. I really like also the Bonus Chapters. Thanks!!

Simply great

This book is simply great!!I am an agriculturist with little knowledge. I enjoyed reading it and it did not take me so long to understand and learn all the knowledge grasp this book has. I will apply the principles to my own garden.
