Publisher's Summary
Talking animals. Quirky cases. An enchanting town. This series has it all, like you’ve never heard before! Several hours of fast-paced cozy mysteries!
Jolene Hartgrave, here! I went from being a top dog lawyer to a hangdog pet psychic in the ruff part of town, all thanks to a pesky curse that gave me the gift of gabbing with animals.
But my luck is finally looking up. I’ve teamed up with a hottie police officer and his snarky, overprotective German shepherd to catch criminals. From a murdered fashion icon spinning a web of lies to the killed curator of an occult museum, I’m doggedly helping the police bring the bad guys to justice.
But there’s a catch. I’ve got a huge secret of my own – one the police can never find out about.
Can I solve the case and build a new life, or will I end up behind bars myself?
If you love talking animal sidekicks, clever mysteries, and a hilarious cast of characters, you won’t want to miss your chance to binge books one through four of the Pet Psychic Magical Mysteries in this special boxed collection.
Cozy mysteries that will make you laugh and keep you guessing right to the end.

Icky
I just couldn’t get past how this dirty disgusting shifter could be attractive to anyone. All the talk about her greasy dirty hair, not bathing and smelling just disgusting me.

Main character is shallow and constantly repeating her storyline
Jolene is supposed to be able to understand and speak to animals. Yet she has no empathy for animals. Especially Daisy the police dog who she teases and deliberately goes out of her way to upset.
At the same time, Jolene repeats the circumstances of her situation over and over. To the point that the story becomes redundant and boring. I got through the first book only to find that this is exactly how the second book continues. Self absorbed, pity party Jolene repeating her story line while the premise of the book moves at a snail’s pace. Definitely time to move on to a better author and a narrator that shouts more than she relates the story.

Another great series
If you love paranormal mysteries then here is another wonderful series! I also love that the narrator is the authors’ sister, both are talented in their roles. The mysteries are fun and not to intense that you can still laugh and enjoy. Each book keeps getting better, and I am ready for the next book.

Enjoyed very much!
I really enjoyed books one thru four of the Night Market series. I love books that involve witches, the paranormal, magic, animals & mysteries... with this set I got them all together with a little romance thrown in as well!
The narrator, Hannah Somerville, did a wonderful job throughout the series.
I am looking forward to listening to more of Erin Johnsons Pet Psychic Mysteries to see Peter and Jolene’s fledgling romance progress with Daisy right in the middle. They make a great trio!
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review & has not affected my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Disturbing and off putting jersey accent
The accent narrator falls into is very disturbing. Tried this series after another thinking it was a one off. But it was not.

Humorous and Fun Series
This is a delightful series. Each book is better than the one before as you get to learn more about the characters. If you enjoyed the Spells and Caramels series, you’ll find this one equally entertaining.
Jolene Hartgrave is in tough straits. A former lawyer, she’s lost her job. And worse, her magic, due to the effects of a curse. She’s trying to make ends meet by pretending to be a pet psychic, but in truth, she’s barely scraping along. When a police officer needs her help, and then offers her a job as a police consultant, she’s can’t say no.
The writing is filled with humor. The underlying theme of this book is about discrimination, for Jolene as a shifter isn’t considered as worthy as others. It’s something that reflects things going on in the real world today. This theme is handled with a light touch, but it’s there. It’s doesn’t diminish the fun of these books.
I loved the narration. The performance is done well and professionally. The characters are distinct and brought to life by Ms. Somerville who has the perfect voice for these books.. My only complaint is that there are a few mispronounced words, but it's easy to ignore them.
I enjoyed listening to this box set, and I highly recommend it. I look forward to the remainder of the books in this series.
I received this audiobook for free from the author. I thank her for her generosity, but it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to reading this book.

Erin Johnson Never Disappoints
This is one of my favorite series by Ms Johnson. Jolene, is an owl shifter who has lost her powers, but can now communicate with animals and insects. She hides her communication skills by posing as a pet psychic. Sadly, shifters are looked down on in her society. She currently works as a consultant for the police department, but will she be able to keep her secret from her partner? Come along for a wild ride involving murder, mayhem, and a little romance.

Fun Story, But Terribly Read
Fun story, not nobel worhy, but a fun summer read/listen.
The reader needs to go back to school and learn how to read punctuation. I have both the Audible and Kindle versions. Therefore, I can see that the run-on sentences and paragraphs in the Audble version are not written that way. I continually had to consult the actual book because many times, a shif in person, speech, and narration were not captured by Hannah.

Fun cozy mystery boxed set
If you enjoyed Erin’s Spells and Caramels series, you will feel the same about this series set in that same world. Jolene is down on her luck working as a pet psychic. A chance encounter with Peter and his dog, Daisy, proves to be both a blessing and a curse due to the secret that she’s hiding.

A better narrator needed
The story had promise but the narrator's voice got on my nerves so that I couldn't finish the first book. Wasted my money.
