Number-One Audible and New York Times Audio Best Seller

More than one million audiobooks sold

A lone astronaut must save the earth from disaster in this incredible new science-based thriller from the number-one New York Times best-selling author of The Martian.

Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish.

Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it.

All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

His crewmates dead, his memories fuzzily returning, he realizes that an impossible task now confronts him. Alone on this tiny ship that's been cobbled together by every government and space agency on the planet and hurled into the depths of space, it's up to him to conquer an extinction-level threat to our species.

And thanks to an unexpected ally, he just might have a chance.

Part scientific mystery, part dazzling interstellar journey, Project Hail Mary is a tale of discovery, speculation, and survival to rival The Martian - while taking us to places it never dreamed of going.

Absolutely Fantastic

I can’t say how much i loved this book. It was a fantastic story with amazing narration. Took me a while to listen to it because i kept stopping and making my husband listen to parts. I have read several other books that could be considered similar in plot and this one out did the others hands down! Can’t recommend it enough!!

Excellent!

Very good story! Comparable to The Martian in that it takes current technology and carries it through a plausible direction. Ray Porter is an excellent narrator, as usual.

Masterpiece

This book is so detailed, scientific and emotional. I wish it never ended. There were several times I had tears and nerve wracking tense held breaths. This is a must!

Brilliant

I devoured this audiobook. The story is absolutely superb. Everything you would want from a Weir novel: indepth science within an incredibly rich and engaging story. If you enjoyed The Martian and/or Artemis this story will not disappoint; if you haven't read either of those download them after you finish this.

Great listen

Loved Andy Weirs other novels and this is no exception. Starting out, one cannot help but compare this book with others by Andy Weir, however it blossoms into a beautifully unique tale that will leave you starstruck.

Fantastic story!

First off, I would absolutely recommend this book to any of my sci-fi inclined friends.
Maybe I'm an old fashioned millenial, or perhaps it's been awhile since I've read contemporary fiction; the cadence of Mr. Weirs writing style is frankly obtuse. Perhaps that's in vogue, but nonetheless subpar to the Great Conversation. Mr. Weir does have a penchant for existential storytelling and suspense that I thoroughly enjoy. I would not say the storytelling overcomes the obtuse writing, but it accentuates it giving it a distinct character.
And Mr. Porter is as exceptional as he is subtle. Bravo! Encore!

Immersive

I really enjoyed this book and it’s performance. Honestly I bought it without even looking at the back cover because it’s Andy Weir. The narration was good and emotional, the story was immersive and I really got into the whole thing. It almost felt like I was there.
