Great plot, and delightfully intricate detail from the cockpit!

Ward Carrol takes the reader from zero to Mach 1 like a catapult shot off a carrier. There is a ton of meat on the bone if you are the type who wants to know what day to day flight ops and carrier life is like for flyers. I thoroughly enjoyed this story as it takes you on a thrill ride that is written from a pilot’s perspective and gives the reader a glimpse of what it’s like on carrier ops in a tense global environment. And how midair refueling can be as terrifying as engaging enemies. Thanks for the thrills Ward! Love your YouTube channel as well!

Good story

Good story that was well written and performed.
Very realistic, In terms of accuracy with the flying component and the human component where the good guy doesn’t always win.

Fast paced story line. Superbly read. I learned a lot about Navy flyers and their equipment.

Delve into unseen realm of Naval Aviation.

Loved it. Excellent narration. Can't wait for the sequels. This book takes you from the inside of an American aircraft carrier on the brink of disaster to the skies over Iraq as seen through the eyes of Punk. It follows him as he navigates drama within the ranks, raucous shore leave antics with his fellow wingmen and the sheer terror and confusion of modern air combat. This book had me hooked from the start. I wouldn't be surprised if it were made into a full motion picture one day.
