As a social worker endeavoring to understand my OCD better this book introduces some helpful reminders and digestible info.

Some of the information provided I believe can reinforce compulsions "telling your brain you are the boss," can create an OCD feedback loop or thought suppression. The emphasis on controlling your own mind can be counterintuitive for folks with OCD who are seeking control for their thoughts and compulsions.

This can be pathologizing for folks who believe thoughts can be controlled when it's not an issue of willpower.
