Publisher's Summary

Since its publication, Quidditch Through the Ages has been one of the most popular books in the Hogwarts library. Read by Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and many more, it is the essential guide to the wizarding world's favourite game.

Charting its journey from Queerditch Marsh in the eleventh century to the sophisticated sport of today, Quidditch Through the Ages will show you the moments of exhilarating triumph and crushing despair (such as supporting the Chudley Cannons) that are part of the game of Quidditch.

Learn all about the history and rules of the game, from some of the 700 fouls (and which World Cup Final saw all of them committed) to the difference between a Transylvanian Tackle and a Woollongong Shimmy.

Narrated by People's Choice Awards Winner and BAFTA nominated Andrew Lincoln, best known for his role on The Walking Dead, the audiobook edition also includes more than an hour and a half of bonus content.

The audiobook edition includes more than an hour and a half of bonus content. This includes the history of the Quidditch World Cup Final and commentary on the 2014 World Cup Final from the perspective of Rita Skeeter (Annette Badland) and Ginny Potter (Imogen Church). The shelves of the Hogwarts Library are also home to many more fascinating books. If you have enjoyed Quidditch Through the Ages you might want to check out some of its other treasures: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and The Tales of Beedle the Bard.

Excellent new content!

I have the physical copy of this book, and I always loved the world building things that J.K did with this series. Now this book is even better with an excellent narration as well as the Quidditch World Cup commentary that is included. However, if you aren't a giant Harry Potter fan this may be a bit disappointing for you because you can access this commentary elsewhere on Pottermore. It is nice to have it all accessible here and it plays automatically rather than clicking around on the website - just keep that in mind when you are choosing to buy it. I recommend it for any big fan of Harry Potter! #Audible1

A must listen for all Wizarding World fans

A great production. Fantastic lore and story from J.K. Rowling. A must listen. Lots of surprises for fans of the Harry Potter characters. Particularly in the last chapters. You will not regret this purchase.

very interesting

I really enjoyed this. Getting to hear details about the characters again so many years later it's really cool. I would definitely recommend this if you are a Harry Potter fan.

Humour

What fun to connect Quidditch to the stories in history. I had fun, and laughed or smiled throughout this reading. All the readers were acting so well, and I loved the Reeta Skeeter character!

Well done

I loved the little back stories of quidditch around the world. I felt back in the world of Harry Potter again! I wish the book was a little longer, but Ginny’s World Cup commentary was an entertaining addition.

Worth a Listen if you are a Harry Potter fan

The narrators were great! The story gets a little repetitive with some of the history dates, but they do an overall good job breaking it up.

The commentary for the 2014 Quidditch cup was a nice touch, until another narrator is added in the semi-final matches. It's purposefully done, but it takes away from the match highlights.
