5 truly dark and disturbing stars — you’ve been warned!

The Sandman Duet (Nocturnes & Nightmares and Requiem & Reverie) is an amazing thriller romance. A hidden gem if you are searching for something completely dark, disturbing and suspenseful. Loved the narration!

the good, bad, and great

Good things: plot is solid. I like Voss and Nola quite a bit. Villain was expected, but believable. Would really enjoy reading more from this author! Bad things: a bit too much blood and... body part removal for my taste. Also, f*** Nola's dead husband (this isn't a complaint about the writing or characterization, I just was really mad at him as a character). Finally, Alexander... the female voices are just, not good, not when we want to like that character. Great things: Lidia is a BOSS, her narration is fan-freaking-tastic!!! I must now go and listen to her voice more. Alexander's male narration and villain voices are on point, delightful and creepy as required(just... not the female voices). The sex between Nola and Voss, also very hot.
4 out of 5 stars because of my small gripes. <3
