Sierra has recovered from an injury but hasn’t conquered the mental road-blocks left behind. Dylan is the typical hockey player playboy type and consequences never apply to him, but one bad day and an impulsive night lead him to a suspension that could cost him his shot at professional hockey.
Together these two have sizzling chemistry! Their bickering and banter was what reeled me in, but I absolutely loved the way they supported each other once they built up some trust. Especially Dylan who supported Sierra in every way, encouraging her to speak up and showing her all the ways her past partner was lacking. Both characters had a lot of depth that drew me into the story and made me feel invested.
I think we saw some hints for future possible book ideas, so I’m curious to see where Khabra goes next with the series!
Audio🎧: I have listened to Erin Mallon before and always enjoy her work! I thought both Liam Cortright and Erin Mallon did a great job of bringing to life the funny, bickering dialogue and conveying the emotional depth of each character in more serious moments. I’ll have to look up more of Liam’s work!
