Publisher's Summary

"You may be faking the relationship, but you're not faking the orgasms."

Downsized, broke, and dumped, 38-year-old Marley sneaks home to her childhood bedroom in the town she couldn't wait to escape 20 years ago. Not much has changed in Culpepper. The cool kids are still cool. Now they just own car dealerships and live in McMansions next door. Oh, and the whole town is still talking about that Homecoming she ruined her senior year.

Desperate for a new start, Marley accepts a temporary teaching position. Can the girl banned from all future Culpepper High Homecomings keep the losing-est girls soccer team in school history from killing each other and prevent carpal tunnel in a bunch of phone-clutching gym class students?

Maybe with the help of Jake Weston, high school bad boy turned sexy good guy. When the school rumor mill sends Marley to the principal's office to sign an ethics contract, the tattooed track coach, dog dad, and teacher of the year becomes her new fake boyfriend and alibi - for a price. The Deal: He'll teach her how to coach if she teaches him how to be in a relationship.

Who knew a fake boyfriend could deliver such real orgasms? But it's all temporary. The guy. The job. The team. There's too much history. Rock bottom can't turn into a foundation for happily ever after. Can it?

Warning: Story also includes a meet-puke, a bouffanted nemesis, a yard swan and donkey basketball, a teenage-orchestrated makeover, and a fake relationship that gets a little too real between the sheets.

Fun listen and enjoyable/uplifting story arc

I really enjoyed the overall story arc, character development, and how the story ended. It had elements about self-development, growth, family, friendship, love which all came together very well in the story. I’d recommend this title!

Amazing Audio of Wonderful Story.

This was one of my favourite Lucy Score books ever. So of course I had to do a “reread” with the audiobook. And now, this is one of my favourite audiobooks ever. The narrators were exactly how I heard Mars & Jake in my head. I loved their voicing of the other characters so much too!! This will be a repeat. Funny, charming & gives you life lessons. What more could you want in an audiobook?

I always start to love but then.....

As I was listening I was loving it, but then Lucy writes such long books that could be knocked down by two hundred to three hundred pages.

I love the way Lucy writes whole stories and not just a love story, Marley has a hard go at it for a couple months and she's forced to move back to her small town where she felt not good enough.

While in town her sexy crush in high-school who was labeled the bad boy in town crash together. It was definitely a story that showed what you needed was their this whole time and you really needed to drill it in.

A hilarious and heartwarming story everyone can relate to!

This is one of my favourite books, ever. It’s hilarious, heartwarming, impactful, beautifully written with strong characters. I laughed until I cried at some parts of this utterly hilarious book that is an ode to anyone who struggled to find themselves and what it means to have a place - and people - truly be your home. Beautifully performed by both narrators, Rock Bottom Girl is an audio book everyone should experience!
