Story
My name is Chase Cooper, and I'm a 6th grade ninja. It's my first day at a different school and the only person I know is my cousin, Zoe (but she might be a little too cool for me). I was just another scrawny kid until a group of ninjas recruited me into their clan. It was a world of trouble I wasn't prepared for, which is why I kept this diary (or "chronicle" as my dad would call it) - to warn other kids about the dangers of becoming a ninja. They say history is destined to repeat itself...well, not if I can help it.

Maybe you do need to see the drawings!
I really enjoyed the first book, partially because Ramone de Ocampo does such a brilliant job as narrator. And he does a great job in this sequel, but I find I have more and more difficulty trying to sympathize with the main character. Okay, he was a whiny little brat in the first book, but the schtick starts to run thin in the second. I read in a review of the first book that it really helped to see the drawings that accompanied the text in the book version -- I didn't know that there were drawings!
Kids may enjoy the book -- and there were some really good moments in it, but adults will tire of this character quickly.

My 8 year old son loves these books!
Would you listen to Rodrick Rules again? Why?
He started listening to this book series when he was 7 and he listened to all but the most recent two books on audio book. Now he can read the books and has read them all even after listening to them all. The narrator does a great job on these books!
What other book might you compare Rodrick Rules to and why?
the whole series
What about Ramone de Ocampo’s performance did you like?
he has energy in his voice and brings the story alive

THE BEST
Okay, we all know that Diary of a Wimpy Kid is the most classic book series of all time, and even better for people who HATE reading. We just took it a whole new level, a funny book, easy to read, THAT YOU DON’T HAVE TO READ, which is pretty awesome. Secondly, Ramon is a GREAT narrator! It makes me feel like Greg Heffely is ACTUALLY reading the book to me. He has great tone! GREAT JOB! Last, the story is hilaaaaaarrrrrriooooousssssss. The fun that I had listening to it was undeniable! Have fun Audioreaders!
