Publisher's Summary

#1 NATIONAL BESTSELLER • Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist return to the Girl in the Dragon Tattoo series in this ripped-from-the-headlines, high-octane follow-up to Stieg Larsson's The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. • Also known as the Millennium series

“Rest easy, Lisbeth Salander fans—our punk hacker heroine is in good hands.… A twisty, bloody thrill ride.… An instant page-turner.” —
USA Today

The next installment in the Millennium series: a genius hacker who has always been an outsider; a journalist with a penchant for danger. She is Lisbeth Salander, the girl with the dragon tattoo. He is Mikael Blomkvist, crusading editor of Millennium. One night, Blomkvist receives a call from a source who claims to have been given information vital to the United States by a young female hacker. Blomkvist, always on the lookout for a story, reaches out to Salander for help. She, as usual, has plans of her own. Together they are drawn into a ruthless underworld of spies, cybercriminals, and government operatives—some willing to kill to protect their secrets.

Slow to start but then 😊

Great book. It did start slowly but I think cause it was audio & you had to learn the names.
Once past that, it was a good story.

Full-throttle from start to finish

A wickedly fast and interesting thriller. Beautifully braids complex storylines with impactful insights, surprises, and relationships. 10/10 recommend

I love this Seiries!

I am a big fan of these book, and this book is just as addictive as the first. Simon Vance is an extremely talented storyteller, and has an amazing voice and he keeps you on the edge of your seat the hole time. I highly recommend this book.#Audible1

Definitely not Stieg Larsson

I love the Millennium series.
This next installment is okay. There wasn't the flow to it, it felt "off". I feel that maybe with a different translator, than the first 3, essentials were lost. Past and present tense were mixed up.
The worst were the names.
Known characters names were different ie. Berger was now pronounced Barrier. Drove me bonkers at first but I eventually accepted it.
Overall a good book.

Great story

Although I couldn't put the book down, I was confused at times by the vast array of characters. Great mystery. Thankfully the author summarized the events near the end. I really enjoyed the narrator after slowing the speed a tiny bit.

Slow start but worth the wait

It took awhile to get into and took focus to understand everything that was going on but it was worth it in the end. A very good book, comparable to the first 3 in the series

picks up the pace in the end

narration was fantastic, but not the story. there's a lot of recapping of the first 3 books which is annoying since I don't think anyone would really just skip those. aside from that, the story sort of relies on Blomquist recognising someone, who he really shouldn't have considering he never met the person or even knew anything about them. it made no sense and basically ruined it for me in terms of the story arc. it was however entertaining so that is why I gave it 3/5.
