Publisher's Summary

A new world arises from the ashes of the old...but the fight for survival has only just begun.

In the day of the nomad, oceans flooded the continents and the Earth split open, pouring darkness into the skies. Jessica Rollins survived, but at what cost? The key to humanity's survival may lie in the backpack she recovered from her father, in data he collected more than 30 years before. Her father's final words circle around and around in her head. What does the data mean? Who is the mysterious Ufuk Erdogmus? And what is...sanctuary?

Great story well told

Mather's second installment of the Nomad series is in some ways even better than the first. It lacks the moments of syrupy female weakness that marred our introduction. Instead the MC is uncompromisingly strong of character while not perfect, a worthy hero. This volume also shows Mather's respect for his readers in delivering a complete story. There is no end-of-book hostage taking, but instead a satisfying conclusion. Noistake there is more to come, but it is more in the nature of another story rather than the unfinished business of a cliffhanger. I'm going to immediately start the third volume.

Narrator continues to show excellence in their craft with clear separation of scenes. distinguishable characters and perfect tone.

It's a great audiobook.

Outstanding!

The narator is absolutely amazing! So many different voices and accents.Amazing job, relentless adventures, love, and trials.I really felt the relentless cold! This series has it all.I would have liked the main characters to have a few more wins but maybe thats for the next in the series.

I don’t know

Jessica is the most self entitled spoiled individual in a story I’ve ever come across. She’s not even likeable. She makes the story harder and harder to listen to as time goes on. I found myself skipping over chapters with her in it. Too bad, the first book was pretty good
