Publisher's Summary

"Real science in Science Fiction. This is a must read for fans of SF." >(John S. Gertsch, Amazon Reviewer)

Perfect for fans of Peter F. Hamilton, Iain M. Banks, and Orson Scott Card, Fear the Sky is a hard-hitting sci-fi thriller that will have you looking at the stars in a different way.

In eleven years' time, a million members of an alien race will arrive at Earth. Years before they enter orbit, their approach will be announced by the flare of a thousand flames in the sky, their ships' huge engines burning hard to slow them from the vast speeds needed to cross interstellar space. These foreboding lights will shine in our night sky like new stars, getting ever brighter until they outshine even the sun, casting ominous shadows and banishing the night until they suddenly blink out. Their technology is vastly superior to ours, and they know they cannot possibly lose the coming conflict. But they, like us, have found no answer to the destructive force of the atom, and they have no intention of facing the onslaught of our primitive nuclear arsenal or the devastation it would wreak on the planet they crave. So they have flung out an advance party in front of them, hidden within one of the countless asteroids randomly roaming the void. They do not want us, they want our planet. Their Agents are arriving.

RC Bray brings this book to life!

I wasn't sure what to expect from Fear the Sky. Alien invasion type of SciFi isn't exactly up my alley but being that RC Bray was on this I had to give it a shot and I have ZERO regrets. This book has plenty of action, interesting perspective on future tech and a Terminator quality that I can appreciate.

The characters are well developed, although the startup stage of their secret operation does seem to come together all too easily. None the less, it's a very tiny aspect of this well painted picture. I love how RC paces the action sequences, his delivery and emphasis on the right details projects a vivid image in my mind, especially nearing the end as they attempt to save millions from a deadly distribution of an alien virus.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and was pleasantly surprised how well written and consistent it was. I can deal with a mediocre storyline with consistency but a storyline with excellent potential failing to deliver I cannot. Luckily for us Fear the Sky comes out swinging and doesn't stop until the final rounds. I will be listening to the rest of the series!

Good Story, took a little while to get interesting

Not a bad start to what seems to be an interesting series, it started out slow for me but got interesting enough for me to write this review and buy the next book in the series. Im going to be lazy here and not state any other reasons why I like this book except for the reason I have stated, give it a go, im sure you will like it.

You must listen to this one…

I literally listen to 5 books a month, seeking something that approximates the Expeditionary Force or something from Brandon Sanderson. This absolutely exceeded my expectations! Must read!!!

Very Enjoyable one down two more to go.

Loved this book, can't wait to start the next one of the three in the series. R.C. Bray gives another outstanding performance.

not bad, clancy esq story

narration RC - da man... my favourite part of his narration is how he is capably able to incorporate a woman's voice but not come off sounding like Bill Burr

story - liked the premise, potentially some minor errors in tech that can be overlooked "globe trotter" lol.

I had a hard time putting it down to be honest. like all stories there are flat spots

like all stories the minutia of detail can be welcome - like me- for others they hate it who just want a thrill ride

I don't know what bothered me about the antagonists... something, not tangible, more perceptual. I'd probably have to listen to it again to tease it out

I'm listening to book 2, not hooked, but not giving up, yet
