glad they put the story back on track
Weird alien shit. that's what got me into this series and this novel delivers. As much as I liked books 5-6, they took a bit of a detour from what made this series so enticing. I understood the necessity of the Free Navy, but it felt a little too much like filler. Our patience, however, has been rewarded.

Give it time
This book starts slow but it picks up and moves the background story forward. I stopped listening for weeks before coming back to it and I'm a huge fan. If you found the parts about the proto-molecule and other civilizations fascinating then stick with this book.

So much more yet to be explored
Some chapters being closed and others being re-opened. Can't wait to the next series regardless of where the TV serial is killed off. Keep 'em coming!

Great Story
I typically don't like time jumps in a series, be it book or TV, but I'll admit this one handles it pretty well. There may be some difficulties calculating the age of the characters now and the capabilities of someone of their rough assumed age, but in a roundabout way the author addresses that without really making it apparent that it's being done. Regardless this series is fantastic and the only ring that makes me sad is that I'm down to the last couple books.

I'm sad I'm approaching the end of the series and hopeful it provides the conclusion this series deserves!

another amazing Expanse book!
So good! Definitely setting the stage for the following books but still a wonderful and entertaining listen. Also, this voice actor has really settled in - a great performance!

Trust not in princes
Just when they thought they were out, they got dragged in again! James Holden and the crew of the Rocinante get involved in yet another interstellar war.
As this is a continued story, I will write a proper review once I've reached the end of this particular story arc.

First part of a multi-book arc
SPOILER AHEAD (kinda?)
This book changes the series formula and ends on a cliff hanger, a cold "the end" and no music. It was disapointing and confusing. I kinda feel cheated...
