Publisher's Summary

Vicki Nelson, formerly of Toronto’s homicide unit and now a private detective, witnesses the first of many vicious attacks that begin plaguing the city of Toronto. As death follows unspeakable death, Vicki, in an attempt to stop these forces of dark magic, is forced to renew her tempestuous relationship with her former partner, Mike Celluci - along with another, unexpected ally…. Henry Fitzroy, the illegitimate son of King Henry VIII, has learned over the course of his long life how to blend with humans; how to deny the call for blood in his veins. Without him, Vicki and Mike would not survive the ancient force of chaos that has been unleashed upon the world - but in doing so, his identity may be exposed, and his life forfeited.

Featured Article: 11 Book Series for Fans of the Twilight Saga

The Twilight Saga, by Stephenie Meyer, was one of the most widely popular book series of its time. It spawned a huge following, gained devoted fans that argued fervently for either Team Edward or Team Jacob, and generally started an entire young adult vampire craze. It was also a sign to many that teens could still become obsessed with books—and not just obsessed, but obsessed on a widespread, global level. But after Twilight came to an end, many younger listeners (and the adults they grew into) were left wondering what next series could fill the void. Luckily, a plethora of authors stepped up with content sure to satisfy any Twilight fan’s thirst for a new listen.

Have read this book several times in print. Wonder

Great recording. I enjoyed listening to it for the 1st time in years. wish that the tv show had been produced with an HBO/Amazon/Netflix mindset rather than the regular type tv show that had tried to do.

Good book

I got this book because of my favorite TV show Blood Ties. I enjoyed the book. Although, the narrator was disappointing. The voice acting was a bit hard to follow sometimes. A lot of the voices sound very similar and there was no emotion behind anything.
