Three full-length second chances stories from three New York Times best sellers

Say I’m Yours

I spent 20 years waiting for Trent Hennington to open his eyes and see me. But it was all for nothing. He chose to keep himself guarded and let me walk away, proving that my time and efforts were wasted. I’m done being invisible. It’s time to move on. A single dance sets my new reality into motion, and I welcome it. After all, Cooper Townsend is perfect. He’s kind, sexy, and attentive - everything a girl could want. I thought I got it right this time. That my heart could mend, and I would be happy. Apparently, some things really are just too hard to walk away from.

Beautiful Mistake

The first time I met Caine West was in a bar. He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out. When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight - telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass.You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend - smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married.

He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done. Especially when that lazy smile graced his perfect face in response to my rant. Only it turned out, the man I'd just told off wasn't the right guy. Oops. My mistake. Embarrassed, I slunk out without an apology. I was never going to see the handsome stranger again anyway, right? That’s what I thought...until I walked into class the next morning. Well, hello Professor West, I’m your new teaching assistant. I’ll be working under you...figuratively speaking. Although the literal interpretation might not be such a bad thing - working under Professor West. This was going to be interesting.

Drunk Dial

It seemed like a good idea at the time. Look up Landon Roderick, that boy from childhood whom I’d never been able to forget - even though he so easily forgot about me - and call him. Then again, anything sounds like a good idea when you've had a little too much wine before bed, right?

It was supposed to be just a quick, meaningless, prank call. Instead, I went off on him - unloading 13 years of pent-up emotions. I didn't think he'd call me back. I certainly could never have anticipated the weeks of sexually tense phone conversations that followed as I got to know the man he'd become. Turned out, Landon had never really forgotten me, either. That special connection we had was still there. I opened up to him, but there were also things about me he didn't know. And he had his own secrets. Over the countless hours we talked on the phone, I wondered what would happen if we actually saw each other. One night, I did something impulsive again.

Good Read

Good narratives. "Drunk Dial" I found very predictable, "Say I'm Yours" was good but the best was "Beautiful Mistake".

Fan-Friggin-tastic

I loved the 1st story. love both narrators. The romance, lust, sexy and funny thrown in.
The next few books read solely of one person...Andy Arndt.
Sebastian York is always delicious!😘

She is one of the best women narrators out there. I usually won't bother listening to a book, unless there are 2 reading, with equal reading time!!!
3 + books for 1. 😁

We are always so delighted and grateful when you gives us bonuse books or / stories.

THANK YOU!👍🏽👏🏽

Two Good Books, One Dud

The narration for all three books was, of course, wonderful. Sebastian York and Andi Arndt phenomenal
Say I’m Yours by Corinne Michaels is great. I have read her other books before and enjoyed them.
Beautiful Mistake is the first book I’ve read by Vi Keeland. I thought it was a fun read. I may check out a few other of her titles.
I wanted to but I just could not make it through Drunk Dial. The premise of the plot is cute. I just could not connect with either of the two main characters. The male love interest seems like a total jerk. I can’t speak for the way he behaves in the latter part of the book, as I will not be reading about it, but in the first part his behavior is just really unhealthy, creepy, narcissistic, and all around “douchy”. From the word go, I had no idea what the female lead saw in him. The author references very specific songs throughout the book which stuck out as distracting and strange, as they really did not add anything to the story. Perhaps this author has written other books that I would enjoy more. This particular book may appeal to some readers, just not me.

Two out of three

This group was an Audible special, three for one credit.

Say I’m Yours, Corinne Michaels. ⭐️ Terrible, I found myself shaking my head and doing some spectacular eye rolling. The characters were immature, needy and just plain annoying.

Beautiful Mistake by Vi Keeland. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This saved the trio from a one star review. Actually a good story, a little graphic in spots, but to be expected. This story has a plot and steam.

Drunk Dial by Penelope Ward. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ A long distance call leads to a relationship with eventually an HEA. Plenty of angst and drama along the way.

The narrators did a good job. Not sure it was worth the cost of a credit.

Three Beautiful Stories!

I really enjoyed these three stories. They ran the entire emotional gamut, but overall they were joyous and steeped in a spiritual essence that reminded me of my humanity. Well done ladies!

The first two = GREAT!...

The third not so much. Whereas I love to suspend my disbelief, I have my limits. Who's buying someone a $700 plane ticket? Stop it. I couldn't finish it.

First Ok, second fantastic! Third good!

First book was relatable to many..it wasn’t bad. The second book Hot Dam! This story and characters are so fantastic I listened to it free with Audible Escape then, had to buy it for myself, it’s that good. The third book lots of life lessens, it’s good. All books came with excellent narrative performances. 5 Star!

5 stars for Beautiful Mistake

I like Corinne Michaels, but I do not care for ‘love triangle’ themes so I skipped the first book.

The second book, ‘Beautiful Mistake’ by Vi Keeland is excellent. Rachel mistakes Caine for the man who screwed over her best friend and tells him off the night before she finds out she’s his new TA for grad school for a music degree. Rachel is studying to become a music therapist. I enjoyed the musical references and the thoughts on how we experience listening to music. The discovery of how Caine and Rachel were first involved in each others lives many years ago is riveting. I appreciated their romance being attributed to divine grace and the themes of forgiveness and God sending angels to protect us. The book is by no means religious, but because I believe these things too, they stood out to me. Caine runs hot and cold which is annoying and a bit stressful, but there are side characters, music and other story elements to distract from his jerk behavior and keep the story moving towards the eventual HEA.

‘Drunk Dial’ is ok. I liked the characters. Ronna is a belly dancer with a sweet, protective father. Landon is a chef who owns a food truck. He’s in Calif and she’s in Michigan. Their “virtual date” is one of the best scenes I’ve ever read so it’s almost worth listening to the book. But they both have so much baggage and Ronna’s reluctance became tiresome, so about 1/2 way into the book I skipped to the last few chapters. I cared enough about the characters to find out what happened but not enough to slog through the messy parts of them figuring out their relationship. The ending is good. This book would have been better if it was shorter.

Just Meh....

The first book, “Say I’m Yours” was a real yawn. Andi Arndt’s southern accent was painful to listen to and the story was too southern prissy for me. I got really tired of hearing how the main character was so hurt by her ex Trent and never getting any information on how he hurt her other than he is non committal.

I returned this selection before I even listened to the other two book. Save your credit.
