Real heartbreak is unmistakable. We think of nothing else. We feel nothing else. We care about nothing else. Now psychologist Guy Winch imagines how different things would be if we paid more attention to this unique emotion - if only we can understand how heartbreak works, we can begin to fix it.

On Point!
This one nailed every step of my breakup / divorce that I had been beating myself up about. It made me find a way to move past the struggle and back to taking my power back as originally planned when choosing to separate. Highly recommend ... especially to those who were determined to move on but got slapped with shock of guilt and of how right you were to make your decision.

Thank you
This book was a balance, enjoyed some and disregarded some. I can't say I hate it. It was truly a good one. She narrates super well and you can tell she's preaching what she practiced and vice versa. Maybe for men, who are super masculine... it's not good enough. To be honest I don't care about feelings and I never want to. Life is proactive, move forward. Also take responsabilities and accountability for your mistake. Again, it's not a one size fits all approach either... The author cannot know that I was in a long distance marriage so a lot of those things don't apply to me. Overall, It's a sweet book.

I Really Needed This Boost :)
I haven't been feeling like myself since my own recent breakup and I figured why not give Elliot’s book a chance. I’m so glad I read her book. I found her stories relatable and she talks about how to put yourself first and change the negative outlooks in life to positive affirmations. Susan also talks about the importance of not contacting your ex in any other circumstance because of the negative effects it will have on your future. I truly saw myself in this book and one of the things that stuck with me when I finished was that if there's self doubt in your feelings for someone and you are sacrificing without reward its not worth staying if you haven’t been happy. I really needed this boost! Put yourself first ALWAYS!!

Godsend
I listened to this book because I felt desperately lost and stuck after the toughest breakup I’ve ever experienced. I don’t want to sound overly dramatic, but my mindset truly did a complete 180 after listening. The book flipped a switch I wasn’t able to on my own by addressing and validating all of the debilitating emotions I was feeling, and further, gave clear guidelines on how to push ahead to a better life.
