Merciless, book one

I’m a ruthless killer. A bloodthirsty beast.
I always take what I want,
What I’m owed,
And what has been stolen from me.
With a gorgeous face and a porn star body, Lindy thinks she owns Sin City.
But my new obsession made a deadly choice when she walked into my casino.
She trusted the wrong people, put greed before common sense, and lost everything.
Now, there’s a debt to be paid.
To me.
But I don’t care about money.
I want her as my payment.
And it’s time to collect.

Possessive, book two

I struck a deal with the devil…and lost.
For years, I followed orders and obeyed instructions.
I put the family first. Always.
Until temptation consumed me.
I made mistakes and lost my focus, putting a target on my own back.
I changed the game,
Risked it all,
And collected a prize.
His prize.
So when the devil came to collect, I had two options.
Join him...
Or kill him.

Vengeful, book three

One single gunshot threw my life into upheaval.
An assassination that will bring my family to its knees.
It’s up to me to avenge the murder.
An eye for an eye…that’s my MO.
I have one job to do, and it may be my last.
Find my father’s killer and make him pay
Before he finds me.
But there’s one problem - one incredibly sexy obstacle I never saw coming.
Tali Severinov.
I’ve met my match with this woman.
She’s beautiful, deadly, and more ruthless than I’d ever imagined.
Think with my head?
Never.
At least, not with the one attached to my neck.
She thinks I’m the enemy.
Little does she know I’m her savior.

Ravage, book four

Protect the empire at all costs,
Eliminate any threats,
And defeat our enemies.
For years, I’ve accepted these responsibilities to keep my family safe.

Stories too rushed

First off the narration should have been done by a male AND female narrator. The male narrator cannot carry out the female characters properly. The stories are too rushed, they don’t flow into the next one smoothly, too choppy.the story is good, but needs to be better developed.

Just does not connect...

I am having a hard time continuing with this book. In every Russian or Scottish or other novel based on a genre or cultural group, one of the things that can help immerse you on the story are the great use of accents by the actors who read them. This entire Russian family talks like I guy from middle Ohio.... just made an “okay” story blah and bland. VERY disappointing....

Needs Duel Narration

I was hoping to hear a Russian accent in the narration, but I did not. I
love to listen to a narrator who can deliver a good Russian accent. In addition, duel narrators were desperately needed. If these two errors were to be corrected, the series would have been much better.

Good Series not great!💜

I have reviewed each book individually and submitting them here as my box set review!

Book 1
I really enjoyed this storyline but there were some areas not so much.
IMO it didn’t really have a Russian Mafia feel to it. Maybe because the main character as well as other characters didn’t have a Russian accent or very little, I’m not sure. That said, I did enjoy the story overall. The narration was okay he has a good voice.
This is book 1 with an HEA but the story continues.

Book 2
This book has a good storyline.
I am enjoying this series but IMO it’s not as much a Russian Mafia series as it is a great romance crime/drama. I’m not sure what’s going on with the accents, but they don’t feel right to me. I’m not sure if it’s a creative decision on the part of the author or the narrator.
Let’s talk narration. I want you to know that I don’t usually go this in depth on the narration but I feel like it’s important that sometimes you need to give a narrator a second chance.
First, the narrator has a fantastic voice and I can tell he’s got what it takes for voice acting. That said I have 3 things to add.
1st, there were a lot of technical issues with sound quality and repeated sentences.
2nd, after researching Tyler Darby (because again his voice is very good) I realized that this book was recorded a couple of years ago. So, it’s likely his recording skills have improved.
3rd, I was right. I found a book that he narrated and I reviewed last year and I loved his narration with no issues.
I encourage everyone to read/listen and always form your own opinions. This is book 2 with an HEA and a cliffhanger and continues in book 3.

Book 3
This review is much like my review for book 2. This series a great storyline but seems more like a romance crime than Russian Bratva. I’m feeling like it’s the lack of Russian accents but even if was reading rather than listening, it doesn’t seem as dark as I expected. IMO It’s still a good story just not for a mafia type. I’m borrowing a portion of my review from book 2 as my opinion didn’t change.

Book 4
This series was good overall but it really bothers me that this story in book 4 makes book 3’s hero look weak and Alec treated him like he was not good enough to be part of the family. I love Christian and I love Alec and all the men in this series. I also understand the need to build up the main character but many series do that without the need to make a hero less in the other books. This is more than two alpha males not getting along. Anyway, this is just my opinion but for some reason it really hit me wrong. I encourage everyone to read/listen and form their own opinion, always. The narration was very good. I believe this is my first book with narrator Craig Hart but it won’t be my last. This is book 4 and has an HEA.
