Publisher's Summary

Micah Preston is Hollywood's number one sex symbol. A rich and famous actor who has sworn off any serious relationships, the playboy is the media's favorite bachelor. But he wasn't anybody when Maddie Bauer met him seven years ago. Then he was just the hot guy at the party who gave her an amazing orgasm and never called her again.

Now her job as a camera assistant has landed her on the set of his latest movie, and despite her vow to ignore his charm, she finds him pulling her focus. She just has to make it through the shoot without landing in his bed. But when the legendary bad boy sets his sights on her, how can she possibly resist?

The book was previously published under the title Take Two.

Don't read the bad reviews!!!!

What did you love best about Sex Symbol?

First and foremost, what I loved about Sex Symbol most was that the bad reviews were wrong. If you have read the reviews that Maddy cries to much that is just not true. I read those reviews and chose to listen anyway. I am so glad I did. Second, I kept waiting for all this horrible weepiness to occur and the first tears were not shed until the last part of the book. How someone could interpret that as crying all the time, I have no idea.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sex Symbol?

One of the most memorable moments of Sex Symbol for me was when they put the Awards Show on mute -- I seriously yelled out load Noooooooo!!!

What does Andi Arndt bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Andi Arndt is one of the most talented narrators I have ever listened to. She brings depth and a level of emotion that far outweighs my own imagination. I have always loved listening to her and have often chosen books because she is the narrator.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did not have an overly emotional reaction to this book in any one way or another. I did really enjoy listening to this book and thought that the story line was great. I would also consider listening to this book more than once. It did exactly what I wanted it to do, and that was to put me in the fictional land of HEA.

Any additional comments?

A great easy love story that is not filled with lots of angst. Love that.

Loved it!

Whoa, this book was one of the better celebrity romances I've read that features an actor. That about it I loved, especially since I never fully connect to rock star tropes that much. Anyways this had a lot of steamy sex scenes that had me anxious for the next one. I loved how Micah let love win and they got their HEA. I hope she has others in this series because I'd be so upset if that was it for that world! Excellent story.

Laurelin Paige did an incredible job with this first love story! The demonstration of the emotional insecurity a person has when revelations of love are made hit close to home. The compromise required of Maddy and Micah so that both of them could have what they desired was well worth it in the end! Also, Andi Arndt killed it with her Narration!! She was Phenomenal!

Loved it!

The perfect blend of a compelling story and HOT DAMN sex scenes, but maybe even more so the build up to them. I myself am a very big fan of foreplay and the story didn't disappoint in that department. Definitely want to check out more from this author and narrator.

What can I say...

You've already read, in previous reviews, the story of Maddie and Micah. What I can add is that the author presented the details of the story along a sensible timeline with each event ratcheting up the emotional aspect. While there was no surprise in the ending, it was a sweet ride getting there.

And what can I say about Andi Arndt? Exceptional as always. My favorite female narrator!

Definitely a story you'll want to read (listen to), if you love romance, conflict and, ultimately, love.

Waste of a credit

I can't even believe this is the same author that wrote dirty filthy rich men. The female lead was insecure and teary eyed way too frequently. The male lead was no alpha. Boring book, so bad that I didn't even listen to last few hours.

solid story

this author has a real obsession with using the word panties, and after listening to several of her books back to back it's hard to unhear it every time I reviewed. anyway, solid story with some very sexy parts. some of the conflict was rather contrived, but famous people person romances are a bit of my catnip. they're really should have been more groveling at the end.

Liked it

I’m a fan of this author. On the plus side, the characters are well-rounded/well-written/real. The story is both familiar and fresh.

Not Laurelin Paige at her best

I am normally a big fan of Laurelin Paige’s books, but this one was not her best. The protagonist is so needy and whiny I can hardly stand her. The male lead is a jerk to the point where even when he makes things right you’re still wondering why she would want to be with him. Interesting concept for a novel with poor character development.
