Story kicks off a new story arc with unclear links to the previous books and only vague hints that it will get tied together in the next book. Introduces a whole new world and set of characters. Least favourite in the series so far.

Honestly it’s not a bad book I just feel it’s placed horribly in the series.
It’s a blast to the past of their world which in and of itself was awesome.
But before this book started I honestly didn’t really care about the worlds history especially with so much going on in the present.
So once again READ LAST if you don’t wanna get stuck listening to a history book for the next 6-8hours lol

I’m enjoying this book series very much, but I am not a fan of this entire book being a backstory that is barely linked to the main storyline. I’m sure it will have significance eventually, but it surely doesn’t by the end of this book. This book is great, but it belongs in a “Prequel” series under its own numbers. I was very dissatisfied not to have any mention of a main character. I would have skipped and come back to it later, as with “Interlude”

Should not be numbered as part of the main series
