  • #484 - The Oatmeal Killer - Carmel, Indiana
    Apr 19 2024

This week, in Carmel, Indiana, a custody battle between exes turns dangerous, when one starts asking around, about any hitmen that can help out. When none seem to be available, the whole thing turns into a ridiculous comedy of of errors, involving the killer's children, and other exes, before this person finally succeeds with the murder, using some of the strangest weapons that we've heard of... oatmeal, a neck tie, and fentanyl.

Along the way, we find out that Greeks use unmelting cheese, that you usually don't reheat oatmeal, and that you shouldn't try to enlist everyone you've ever met, in your murder plot!!

  • #483 - The Serial Killer Tapes - Phillips, Wisconsin
    Apr 18 2024

This week, in Phillips, Wisconsin, it's someone who can best be compared to a mixture of BTK, Dahmer, Ted Bundy, and David Parker Ray (Toy Box Killer). His fantasies got out of control, so he attacked, tortured, murdered, and ate parts of his victims. He also argues with himself in different voices, and made a tape, that details all of the horrible things he did... And it's all true!!

Along the way, we find out that the title of "Alice In Dairyland" is quite coveted, that if you're into bondage, when you're 10, you may need some help, in the future, and that it's hard to deny your own audio recorded confessions, when all the evidence matches up!!

  • #482 - Blaming My Imaginary Friend - Woodward, Oklahoma
    Apr 12 2024

This week, in Woodward, Oklahoma, a terrible slaughter takes place, in a nice, quiet neighborhood, sending the area into panic. They think they have their culprit, with a 24 hour gas station worker, but he tells them they have it all wrong. He blames it on a mysterious hitchhiker, that he picked up, and that forced him to participate in awful, bloody things. Will detectives be able to track this hitchhiker down, or was he a figment of imagination??

Along the way, we find out that "sand plum" is a bad name, for a tasty fruit, that nothing is safe, or sacred, and that if you're going to blame someone for murder, make sure they exist!!

These stories make my day.

In this crazy world, these two get me through (make me laugh when I really shouldn't).

Not what you think...and more.

The most entertaining, self-aware, and rational podcast of the most wild and wooly cases, ever. Some might find this show offensive, but if you spend enough time with James and Jimmie, you'll discover that along with the comedy is substance and depth. James is probably the hardest working true crime podcaster out there. You get more than your money's worth from his case research...and Jimmie provides the reaction catharsis needed. Their broadcast chemistry is the best out there and for two guys who claim limited formal education, offer up juvenile razzing of a broad range of subcultures (especially their own), and a liberal smattering of dick jokes, they've created one of the smartest podcasts out there.

Trust the process

There are many true crime and comedy shows out there now (ex. “my favourite murder”) but contrary to many others James and Jimmie devote significant time to the story and the victims rather than a 15 minute overview and then talking only of themselves. The comedy portion comes from the weirdness of small towns, idiotic murderers and inept systems.

This is one of the few weekly podcasts I never miss! James and Jimmie are great finding a good balance between respect and humour while always having hilarious tangents (RIP Italian Grandma and I just realized Jimmie hasn’t had an Andrew Jackson moment in a while…).

Yaaaaaaay!

James and Jimmie are the best! Hilarious, respectful, and absolutely full of excellent pop culture references. Make sure you've seen Goodfellas.

Always Great!

These guys together make me laugh so much. The topic can be grim but they're respectful guys, and they tell the story in a respectful way, whilst making jokes at the expense of the small towns, cops, and usually stupid killers.

Quality podcast. Well researched

I don’t regularly write reviews, but the amount of work that goes into this highly entertaining podcast deserves some recognition. I’m still working on the back catalogue. There have been times I’ve laughed so hard my son came to check on me. Well done guys,
