About this listen
National best seller
A mysterious former Sith wanders the galaxy in this stunning Star Wars tale, an original novel inspired by the world of The Duel from the Star Wars Visions animated anthology.
The Jedi are the most loyal servants of the Empire.
Two decades ago, Jedi clans clashed in service to feuding lords. Sickened by this endless cycle, a sect of Jedi rebelled, seeking to control their own destiny and claim power in service of no master. They called themselves Sith.
The Sith rebellion failed, succumbing to infighting and betrayal, and the once rival lords unified to create an Empire...but even an Empire at peace is not free from violence.
Far on the edge of the Outer Rim, one former Sith wanders, accompanied only by a faithful droid and the ghost of a less civilized age. He carries a lightsaber, but claims lineage to no Jedi clan, and pledges allegiance to no lord. Little is known about him, including his name, for he never speaks of his past, nor his regrets. His history is as guarded as the red blade of destruction he carries sheathed at his side.
As the galaxy's perpetual cycle of violence continues to interrupt his self-imposed exile, and he is forced to duel an enigmatic bandit claiming the title of Sith, it becomes clear that no amount of wandering will ever let him outpace the specters of his former life.

It was okay
I got the book because I saw the “Vision” series on Disney+, and it caught my attention; the book was interesting within the area covered within the show, but after that, it quickly lost my attention. (I did finish.)
I’m sure I would’ve had a higher opinion of it if I wasn’t comparing it to the masterpiece that was Star Wars “Legends.”
TLDR: It’s mid.

wished there was more details
I wished they would explain the "where" and "when" better. what war are they referring to? the one during Bane's time, the clone wars, the one against the empire, or a completely different one? is it the same jedi order we have been following or is this a different one that took root in the outer rim? overall, I'm confused and wished for a better explanation.

An Amazing stand alone story
This is now in my top 10 books. it's shows the moral grey area between Sith and Jedi. Aswell as having now one of my favorite star wars themes (Japanese) that fits so well in the star wars Universe. Last but not least the audio performance is so immerseive for lightsaber duels to Droid sound effect creates an amazing atmosphere and listening experience. I recommend this audio book to any star wars fan that would like to hear a unique star wars experience.

was kinda hard to follow. extremely enigmatic. I think the bones of the story were interesting but again was just a little hard to keep track of what's going on
