This was an easy read with a little of everything. I recommend this book as it holds attention and has some banter

It's a good story but having to hear the narrator butcher "mon cœur" again and again and in different ways... no french speaker should listen to this.

There were several reasons this was not for me. mostly due to the sexual parts, but also I wasn't a huge fan of Leighton: she seemed very wishy washy about things & easily falling apart. (which hey, fair, she's young. But doesn't exactly fit the 'she's so strong, mature, & brave' that everyone kept saying about her) I wish I didn't just push through wanting to see how the story ends. I had to fast forward through most of the sex scenes because they bothered me for several reasons: all the male characters seemed to act like one another in the context of sex, they were not only very dominant (& didn't talk about that before hand to set some boundaries) but also sometimes threatened violence - and even though Leighton was into it, that lack of clear boundaries set my teeth on edge, especially since she had left an abusive situation. There was also a scene where they smeared cake batter on her and wellllllll it revolted me in the way I imagine a man might feel hearing about another guy getting kicked in the groin: all I could think was 'this girl is going to get a raging UTI &/or yeast infection. What. The. Hell." Definitely not hot & not my cuppa tea.
