Publisher's Summary

At 25, Princess Adrianne lives a life most people would envy. Beautiful and elegant, she spends her days dabbling in charities and her nights floating from one glamorous gala to the next. But her pampered-rich-girl pose is a ruse, a carefully calculated effort to hide a dangerous truth.

For 10 years Adrianne has lived for revenge. As a child, she could only watch the cruelty hidden behind the facade of her parents' fairy-tale marriage. Now she has the perfect plan to make her famous father pay. She will take possession of the one thing he values above all others - The Sun and the Moon, a fabled necklace beyond price.

Yet just as she is poised to take her vengeance, she meets a man who seems to divine her every secret. Clever, charming, and enigmatic, Philip Chamberlain has his own private reasons for getting close to Princess Adrianne. And only when it's too late will she see the hidden danger…as she finds herself up against two formidable men - one with the knowledge to take her freedom, the other with the power to take her life.

Wrong narrator

The voice were off. Male lead sounded middle age and grouchy lead female sounded lispy and effeminate

One Of Nora’s Best!

This is fiction at it’s finest. Most interesting characters, scenes in every part of the world and just enough romance and intrigue to make it impossible to put down.

Good story, Very Poor narration

The narration was awkward and stupid. Good story with many of Nora Roberts books, need to find better narrators

Great story

As always, Nora Roberts does not disappoint. The narrator has some unusual voices that were not always pleasant to listen to, but the story line keeps you captivated.

Unhappy with the reader.

What did you like best about Sweet Revenge? What did you like least?

I love Nora Roberts. Her stories are Romantic and interesting. Her women are strong and intelligent. But with sweet Revenge the reader made all the women either lisp or sound like a whiny drag queen. And the usually rugged men sound as if they are all trying to be Errol Flinn.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sweet Revenge?

I have a hard time picking just one. But the last confrontation with the King is my favorite.

How could the performance have been better?

Having a reader with a better understanding of the Author.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

A better reader

Any additional comments?

I hope that Sweet Revenge is not a " first book" for someone trying out a new author. It would seriously hurt the reputation of Nora Roberts if it is.

The WORST Nora Roberts book

Would you try another book from Nora Roberts and/or Napoleon Ryan?

Nora Roberts is one of my favorite authors. Napoleon Ryan is the worst narrator I've had the misfortune of hearing.

What was most disappointing about Nora Roberts’s story?

The setting. I'm not fond of stories involving the Middle East these days.

What didn’t you like about Napoleon Ryan’s performance?

His voice alone is irritating enough.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I stopped listening to it after about an hour or so. So, that said, I found nothing actually that I liked.

Any additional comments?

I will be more careful the next time I order an audible book, and make sure I listen to the sample before purchasing a book.

The narrator was perfect

Would you listen to Sweet Revenge: A Novel again? Why?

Yes. It is a story so rich, that a second reading would allow me to absorb more detail.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sweet Revenge: A Novel?

When Phillip caught her stealing back her necklace. Her emotions were caused her to be careless, showing a great new side of her.

Have you listened to any of Napoleon Ryan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not, but I enjoyed he narrator and his great gift with accents.

Any additional comments?

It is one of the best Nora Roberts novels I have read in years. While I love her fantasy stories, this story was moving, interesting and I couldn't out it down

Might have enjoyed the book more

The story was charming with a bit of intensity. The beginning or setup is a little long & drawn out. The reader's voice was annoying, his affectations and over the top inflections were a bit clichéd which affected my enjoyment of the story. Full disclosure, I prefer a woman's voice when telling a story about a woman. I get why they chose a male voice however. One important note, if you have been affected by a rape in any way, you may not want to listen to this book.

Phenomenal Narrator

The story kept me interested but the narrator transported me. All his different voices for both male and female characters were amazing and all his accents (which there were a lot) were phenomenal.

Nice story, predictable ending, but worth the read

The narrator was perfect for the story. The story line kept me interested and added just enough spice to make it a great love story without making it porn
