Read and listened to 'Take Command' over the 2022 holiday break finding it very compelling reading. The structured approach, the vivid examples and the action 'take-aways' at the end of every chapter was easy to follow and implement. The Audible version, read by one of the authors, Joe Hart, is both effective (while in the car or excercising) and demonstrates his passion for the material. In a very busy work schedule, I will make time to re-read in my personal journey to 'Take Command'. Thank you, Gentlemen.

I think everybody should read this book.

It touches so many subjects crucial to developing great leadership. It’s nothing new, but it’s so far the most compelling and complete book on the subject I’ve read (listened to!).

It’s easy to read, provides practical examples and the structure of the book is great. The voice of the narrator is also good, could be a bit more energetic however.

I’ve even ordered a print copy so I’ll have both versions.

Joe and Michael are uplifting and inspiring. The stories are from a diverse sample of real people from across the globe. This book is a must read for anyone wanting to take command of their thoughts and emotions, their relationships and their future.

One of the best personal growth books I've read.

Joe Hart narrates it himself, and that matters more here than usual. When Hart tells you about lying awake at three in the morning, certain the 107-year-old company he ran was going under on his watch, you are hearing it from the man it happened to, not an actor doing a voice.

Every chapter closes with action steps, which is what makes it work as a listen rather than just something on in the background. It covers a lot of ground too: thoughts, emotions, regret, stress, trust, feedback, difficult people, vision.

I came up in manufacturing, and the part I keep repeating is a temp and a sixty-five-year-old arguing over a screwdriver.
