Publisher's Summary

Comedy from the lopsided world of David Mitchell and Robert Webb, with Olivia Colman and James Bachman.

The radio sketch series which spawned BBC TV’s That Mitchell and Webb Look returns with five brand-new episodes. Among the topics given the unique Mitchell and Webb treatment are the future of farming (battery penguins); Thomas Hardy's exciting idea to make his books even sadder; the very confusing goings on in a cash-register shop; a horror story for slugs; the Escalator brothers inventing the world’s first horseless staircase; and the very last programme the BBC ever does....

Includes four episodes first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in 2013 plus a bonus fifth episode first broadcast exclusively on BBC Radio 4 Extra.

Never leaves my devices

"That Mitchell and Webb Sound" Radio Series 1-5 are always on my phone. The absurdist humor, recurring characters and skits and observational humor about British and world culture are consistently funny and hold up to multiple listenings. The characters that David Mitchell and Robert Webb, ably assisted by James Bachman, Olivia Colman and (for series 5) Sarah Hadlund are memorable and unique.

I would recommend this to anyone who has enjoyed comedies in the British tradition that have a little more bite - this is not quaint or stereotypical. And of course, if you've encountered Mitchell and Webb on television and liked them, you'll love this. Some of the sketches are extensions, in some cases identical, to "That Mitchell and Webb Look" sketches from the television series.

I love Mitchell and Webb!

I'm so glad that they made another series with all the same actors! I hope they bring the TV show back! great sketch comedy, in the vein of Monty Python.

Top notch Mitchell an Web

Please don't stop Mitchell and Web. I hate it when a great comic team stops. Was so happy to learn the radio show still carried on a bit longer. More TV would be nice.
