Publisher's Summary

Eighteen-year-old Charlee Parker met the love of her life in a parking lot-a leggy brunette with a valedictorian medal hanging from her rear-view mirror and an attitude as biting as a Boston winter. Alexandra Woodson was guarded, a 19-year-old orphan set on a bright future in hospitality administration. She never imagined an art student with a penchant for cheesy pick-up lines and stealing parking spaces would crack her rigid exterior and claim her heart.

For four years, theirs was an enviable love - evergreen and growing. Unbreakable... until it broke.

Alex's job now brings her back to Boston, after five years working on the opposite side of the country. When, by chance, they meet again, Charlee and Alex are swept up in a whirlwind of heart-rending history, tossed between past and present, and lovers old and new. Will their lingering connection be enough to convince them that some loves are meant to last? Or should the past remain in the past?

Contains mature themes.

what an artful story

this was such a great story, exactly what i like, old loves reunited after long years, all the angst, perfectly woven past and present. just the romance and the characters, no mystery, no danger, just a sweet love story is what i want , great job. Again Abby Craden a wonderful job narrating

Now That's a Love Story!!!!

this book was so powerful I'm not sure how to start any sort of review. I'm not sure which was better... the amazing storyline or Abby craden narrating. loved both!!! the whole story played out perfectly. this audiobook is so filled with emotion it's really hard to pinpoint the right words to use here. I loved the characters (especially Charlie) and the whole thing definitely gave me the feels. I'm sure it will be a long time before I find another love story so perfect. sorry this review is all over the place. Ha. the book was so good I honestly feel like I should contact the author and tell her how much I appreciated it. anyway, if you are reading this and considering getting this book, please do.

This was a really good book.

This is one of my favorite audiobooks. I’ve listened to a lot recently and this is in the top 5. I appreciated Charlie’s character best. I occasionally wanted to poke Alex in the eye - lol - but I understand where she’s emotionally coming from. Some people struggle doing what’s best for themselves if it involves hurting someone else. This was an emotional ride. But a good one.

SO good, seriously.

I have listened to many many romances, and I have to say this is one of the best I’ve listened to. It’s sweet and sad and steamy and beautiful.

good yet confusing<br />

constant jumping in time with no indication or transition almost made me give up on a good book with an excellent performance by Abby Crayden.
Add in some dates or even just years to keep the confusion down.
Worth reading.

Expected Better

After reading many of the reviews, I was really expecting something with more "wow". Unfortunately, there was just sad, slow motion whining and pining. I kept waiting for it to get better, but it never really did.

50% of the Narration Killed This Book For Me

I liked the story line. It was easy to follow despite the coming and going, back and forth from past to present. I even cared about the characters. I sincerely want to know specifically how this story ends. You know, beyond the obvious. However, the only way I will know is if I buy the hard copy. Because 50% of the narration was unbearable. and I'm going to have to call this book a draw. I don't have the world's worst hearing but apparently it's too bad for this audio book. The narrator was constantly dropping her voice into this long paused heavy whisper, and I couldn't hear nor understand a word she said. Even with my volume full blast.

Just OK.

I wanted to like this much more than I did. Abby Craden is a great Narator and did her best to bring it to love, but it isn't a keeper for me.

Such a wonderful, passionate and heart-rending story! The narrator also made what was already a 5star story even BETTER!!! Listen!
