Incredible Narration!

MC is a true artist! Loved his performance so much. A wide range of character personas and inflections Plus the beautiful pace and dissonance were extraordinary.

The story itself grew bolder and more intriguing as the book progressed! I'm happy to say I truly loved it in the end and understood fully--after about one third of the book--why the beginning few chapters needed to be written and such a disjointed seeming manner. Highly recommended for any serious dark fantasy reader.

Phenomenal. Let’s hope for Book 2

I enjoyed this book so much that I have too occasionally dug around on the internet to find any news on a possible follow-up book from this author. Unfortunately I haven’t heard much in the way of an update since about 2019. I won’t give up hope. This guy has a real talent for writing, and the narration of this book was great as well.

Excellent

Not for the faint of heart, this is a more advanced fantasy story. If you can appreciate the style you will be as impressed as I!

Narrator is good the structure of the book is poor

The performance of the narrator is good.

The book itself is a bit of a mess. There is a warning in the beginning about it needing a nimble reader however i think what the book really needed was a better editor. There are chapters that should really be sequential spaced out 4 or 5 chapters with no pay off for having done it. It feels like a bad tv drama tactic but in a book.

Some chapters are simply too description heavy with little or no dialogue or story progression. I understand what the story is getting at but it could have been delivered far more effectively with better editing and some brevity in some cases.

Far too much forced time and location changes for character introduction early (first half of the book)instead of more organic ways to bring in characters.
