Publisher's Summary

The first time I met Brody Easton was in the men's locker room. It was my first interview as a professional sportscaster. The famed quarterback decided to bare all. And by all, I don't mean he told me any of his secrets. No. The arrogant ass decided to drop his towel just as I asked the first question. On camera.

The Super Bowl MVP quickly adopted a new hobby: screwing with me. When I pushed back, he shifted from wanting to screw with me to wanting to screw me. But I don't date players. And it's not because I'm one of the few women working in the world of professional football. I'd date an athlete. It's the other kind of player I don't date. You know the type. Good looking, strong, cocky, always looking to get laid.

Brody Easton was the ultimate player. Every woman wanted to be the one to change him. But the truth was, all he needed was a girl worth changing for. Turned out I was that girl. Simple, right? Let's face it. It never is.

There's a story between once upon a time and happily ever after...and this one is ours.

Contains mature themes.

Actually really good

Sometimes when you get a free book you see why it’s free. I would have paid for this one. Really cute, made me cry and wanted the story to go on!

started off good

didn’t like the male narrator. he sounded like he was 70 years old. didn’t match the character. also the drama was cleared up way to fast with no real explanation which made it weird that at the end she didn’t want to be with him. there was actually no drama. everything was fine. why was she still considering a relationship from 6 years ago. that’s a long time a go. didn’t make sense. also. no spice. just talk of spice. but none actually written. was an ok read. i would listen to her free books offered on audible. but i would never waste a credit on this author.

Cute story

Cute story, but way too much detail in the book about unimportant subjects that aren’t relevant to the book but other very good listen. I love Brody

Good

This book was great, no shocker.
I think the only thing I didn’t like was that Willow had her own story in it, it made me think that this would turn into a throple or whatever it’s called, but of course it didn’t lol

3.5 Stars

I thought overall the book was worth the listen and held my attention. Some of the ideas were threaded together well while others seemed a bit disjointed, But, I think that was more because a few of the ideologies presented to resolve the story dilemmas were a bit nonsensical. EG. the hero's statement regarding loving 2 people at the same time. I think it could have been exemplified in a clearer way that really spoke to the dilemma at hand. I guess everyone has their own personal views regarding 'love' but from a psychological point of view it felt off. However, the story addressed the issue again via some other events and they were right on point. Also, there was an imbalance in some of the male vs. female character expectations. EG. Does the female need to say I love you 4 or 5 times before the male character utters this phrase. Especially when, he demands it of the heroine. ...or the imbalance of expectations regarding boundaries with other women / men. It felt over the top. So, again, some things on point and some were a bit off. The female narrator was great. The male narrator's interpretation of a female didn't sound very realistic. Overall the audio book was entertaining and Vi Keeland has talent and interesting ideas.
