The writing and narration is incredible, going to be waiting for the next books in the series.

I was looking forward to the new arc in the series because the Empire was quite oppressive, but even after MC becomes free, he's still very suspicious and secretive, and he keeps hesitating - needs to be pushed to follow a path despite it being the only choice, and keeps trying to run at every step.
Also, MC pretty much didn't progress in this whole book. There was plot device as a cause, but it feels too convenient and takes away the satisfaction of progression

this chapter in the story is noticeably weaker than the first four. The story is still strong, but I didn't enjoy the authors forays into romance. It could have been the narration seems dry in this installment also. There are a few tropes that are starting to get abused (OP power acting as plot armor despite MC being skilled in many other forms of fighting) and a few LitRPG potholes that have been hit (forgotten stats or items on person or in dimensional space) but I'll come back for book 6, we'll see if I continue after.

The other reviews complaining about the ptsd ridden, forced into combat soldier still being cautious / paranoid after having his first taste of freedom in his new world are clearly nerds who haven't felt any hardship in their shelterd lives.

This book is fantastic, you will enjoy it.

If only more people new about his other series World Sphere, we could get more incredible stories from him!

Eric, if you are reading this, pretty please continue recording world sphere. its an incredible and more unique story in a sea of cookie cutter isekai.
