Story
Judith Hampton was as beautiful as she was proud and loyal. Her dear Scottish friend from childhood was about to give birth, and Judith had promised to be at her side. But there was another reason for the journey from her bleak English home to the Highlands: to meet the father she had never known, the Laird Maclean. Nothing prepared her, however, for the sight of the Scottish barbarian who was to escort her into his land...Iain Maitland, laird of his clan, a man more powerfully compelling than any she had ever encountered.

So sweet how love can change everything
I really like the narrator it gave the story a boost made you feel all the emotions going on. How hard it must have been in that era to be wed to a stranger and struggle to fit in.

This is the first time listening to this book
I have the hardcover version of this book and have read it many times as it is one of my favourites. This audio book was wonderful to listen too. I really enjoyed Rosalyn Landor’s interpretation of the different characters. She made me laugh and brought me back to the book. I have a feeling I will be listening to this again and again. I would recommend this book.

Not as good as the reviews led me to believe
disclaimer, I'm a man and this book probably wasn't written for me.
The narration is quite good.
writing style is a bit lazy, certain phrases and words are repeated far to often. the characters are extremely cliche
