Publisher's Summary

After an unexpected twist of fate, All-Star catcher Easton Wylder is left questioning the loyalty of everyone around him.

Even the woman who shares his bed, Scout Dalton.

But if Easton thought being uprooted to the last place he expected was the only challenge life had to throw at him, he was dead wrong.

With an ailing shoulder and his career in limbo, his decision to make an unexpected change leads him to question everything - Scout's love, family loyalties, and whether he can conquer the one obstacle he's never been able to overcome. The secret he's never shared with anyone.

He may be a man pushed to his limits, but he's hell-bent on proving his worth no matter the cost.

Always at war

It didn't make much sense. (Possible spoilers)

"Then I type, hey Betty Crocker, look to your right."

For someone who's dyslexic but can send and read text messages, doesn't make sense. I figured maybe he used speech to text, but when he said he typed out the text, it ruined the story for me.

Well, not just that, but the fighting. It seems the two main characters fight more often then not. Honestly, this book could have been in one solid book if the characters didn't fight so much.

However, these two books aren't all that bad. The idea behind it is pretty good. The chain 9f events (although, a little stretched) is actually good. The mystery behind why this could happen made the story for me.

Simply amazing

What can I say. This has been an amazing conclusion to this two book series.
Love the characters even more in this book. I mean really. Easton, how can you not. Tough guy as he is all that’s happening almost too much for even him.
But with the help of the one, Scout, he gets through the toughest moments of his life.
Admiration I feel for Scout. The way she supports the one she loves. With everything she’s got.
This story had me smile, laugh, cry, sob....all at the same time. Feeling every emotion down to my core.
All I can say is “simply amazing”. A five star read and a definite recommend.
