This book is very well written but seems to be 5 different books! It’s annoying that the story has gone off in a million different directions. Far too much historical detail that is totally extraneous to the original story. Also some of the narration is so shrill and annoying that I had to keep lowering the volume. I’m forcing myself to finish it but would definitely not recommend it.

I really wanted to like this audiobook but found the narrator/reader really hard to listen to after a while. There was so much “she said”, then “she said”, then again “she said”. I’ve haven’t finished it.

Slow

The story had different times and perspectives but it was a disappointing ending. The author used "said" constantly, no change in vocabulary throughout the entire story. If free, would've been OK but used a credit on it. Wasn't worth it.
