Publisher's Summary

Fans of The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo and The Four Tendencies by Gretchen Rubin will love The Clutter Connection by organization expert Cassandra Aarssen.

An organization book for diverse habits

"You're not messy, you just organize differently." The Clutter Connection examines and explains the correlation between brain types and how they directly relate to organization and clutter. Cassandra Aarssen smashes the stereotype that some people are "naturally messy" and offers listeners insight and real-life solutions based on their unique personal organizing style. The Clutter Connection will help you get organized, be more productive, and finally understand the why behind your clutter.

Individualized real-life organizing

Organizing isn't one size fits all. Let go of the preconceived and conventional notions of what organization looks like and finally discover what Clutterbug you are. With self-awareness comes happiness, personal growth, and lasting change.

The Clutter Connection examines the four different organizing styles and how they relate to each other; how motivation and happiness can be directly affected by our space; the "3P's" - productivity, procrastination, and perfectionism - and how they are connected to your unique organizing style; and how you can finally become clutter-free simply by knowing yourself better.

Change the way you think about your clutter

This book, combined with Dana K. White's Decluttering at the Speed of Life, literally changed my life. These books shirk traditional organizing and minimalist strategies that only work for specific personality types. They helped me find a way of organizing my home that is sustainable for me, a ladybug. 🐞 😁

Hope for the overwhelmed.

I related to this book and feel like I can do this. I've tried to be organized since Grade 1 and have tried to be good enough and make peace with my mess. Now to make it happen. I really appreciate the detailed table of contents.

Great organizing help

Love Cass, "Clutterbug". Disappointed Cassandra didn't read the book herself but the narrator, Ann Richardson) was excellent (just not expected). Narration was smooth and easy to listen to.

Great insight into organizing styles and setting up a system that works for your "bug" style.

Life-changing (actually!)

Eye-opening, inspiring, and well performed. This book has given me hope that I can actually keep a neat house; it just takes organizing in "my style". Thank you so much!!

Doesn’t sound like the author

Part of the reason I wanted to listen is for the authors voice - not her!

Love ever bit of it!

Time flew by too quickly. Anecdotes helped reinforce concepts. She is so forgiving and non-judgemental. Humorous. Great narrator!

Great new way to look at things

4.5 overall
Like the concept of finding your strengths, as well as your flaws, accepting them & learning to do what works for you, so you can maintain it bc it is more natural to you. This is a breath of fresh air in an area that usually focuses on trying to fit into what works for someone else, or the general idea of organization. Great concise info! Great job!
