Publisher's Summary

The Enneagram - a universal symbol of human purpose and possibility - is an excellent tool for doing the hardest part of consciousness work: realizing, owning, and accepting your strengths and weaknesses. In this comprehensive guide, Beatrice Chestnut, PhD, traces the development of the personality as it relates to the nine types of the Enneagram, the three different subtype forms each type can take, and the path each of us can take toward liberation. With her guidance, listeners will learn to observe themselves, face their fears and disowned Shadow aspects, and work to manifest their highest potential.

My favorite book on the enneagram

I've read many books on the enneagram now, this one is my favorite. One thing that makes this book unique from others is her description of the subtypes. This book has brought my understanding of the enneagram to a new level. I like studying the enneagram from different angles, reading books from various authors. But if I had only one book on the enneagram, it would be this one.

I noticed people in other reviews complaining about the voice of the narrator. I didn't mind her and I actually thought she did a great job. It's a book to study, not a story. I felt like her voice was good for this.
