The joys of home and hearth are about to drive Victorian gentlewoman Amelia Peabody Emerson mad. While she and her husband, the renowned archaeologist Radcliffe Emerson, dutifully go about raising their son Ramses, she dreams only of the dust and detritus of ancient civilizations. Great series, okay performance

I really enjoy this suspenseful yet gentle mystery series. In the first one of the series, the book was narrated by Barbara Rosenblatt who absolutely brought the English heroine Amelia Peabody to life. In this one for some unfathomable reason, they've gone with an american narrator and it just does not work, given all the distinctly English diction in the book. Shame because its a great story with engaging characters.

Entertaining and relaxing

I found this production to be a good mixture of entertaining and relaxing. The narration is humorous and engaging but didn’t keep me up at night. Perfect!
