Publisher's Summary

In a world where almost everyone has a superpower, Sam Archer finds himself with one of the most useless abilities of all - immortality. Sure, he can’t die, but he sure as hell can’t fight back either. If anything, the incapacity to die has turned out to be a hassle for Sam, with ridiculous requests for obnoxious favors being a primary concern. However, his coworker Lily Dodson is about to make his life a lot more interesting with her unique proposal.

Warning: This book contains adult content that may not be suitable for all audiences, including suggestive adult scenes, slight harem elements, consensual sexual aggression on a male character by a female (slight BDSM elements), graphic violence, talk about self-harming behavior, and alcohol consumption/drug use. However, this book does not contain overly vulgar language, and it has parts you may find wholesome.

ok

The MC is a huge hypocrite about cheating. He keeps telling himself he isn't a cheater when he absolutely did. Eating another girl out is cheating. He thinks because he didn't have sex with her it wasn't really cheating... He then goes on to bash and shame his friend for cheating. He also decides not to tell his girlfriend about eating her best friend after promising her it wouldn't happen again and then keeps telling himself he isn't a cheater.... Using "get/got there" for orgasms every time was super bad. Yes there was a warning saying the language wasn't going to be bad but why not say cum or orgasm. The story has tons on dark things in it like children being burned alive etc, but more erotic or bad language isn't ok? Also the sex scenes were all terrible because there was no detail except for saying how many times they "got there".... either fade to black or give a little detail you don't even have to be explicit. Basically all the sex scenes were just huge teases, which is bad because there was a lot. An example one scene is they are kissing and then she suddenly "gets there" her back is arching and body tensing... that is it all the details.

Too fanfiction for my taste.

It's pretty tame when it gets to raunchy stuff and the story is bland considering the content. You never fell like the characters are in danger cause the story either gives you a exposition dump explaining things away and the characters find or gain new powers right when the story needs them too. I thought it might give a great take on what a wolverine type character, minus the claws, might go through in real life struggles in a world full of powered people but the main character gains new powers and all of a sudden becomes a power house when he needs to be. Nevermind the love story feels like something ripped out of penthouse minus the steamy bits. And there is no depth to the relationships. They just love each other and everything works out.

Amazing!

Amazing, the pacing is perfect, the action is short and brutal (just how you would imagine it being) and the characters are so lovable I missed them wile waiting for the second book.
