Publisher's Summary

Vaughn O'Keefe has been part owner of the Hog's Den for years. Privy to plenty of Disciples of the Road business, he's never been more ruffled as when a new recruit named "Smoke" walks through the door. Something about the man gets his blood pumping, but he knows to keep his preferences under wraps around the club.

"Smoke" Callahan has done a couple of rehab stints and is finally clean, thanks to help from the Disciples. He's on the right path and isn't about to get sidetracked, no matter how much the guy who manages the bar gets beneath his skin. Besides, his last relationship with a man left him scared, alone, and with a nightmare of an addiction. When the Hog's Den becomes shorthanded, and Smoke is ordered to help out the one man he can't have, his longing for the bartender reaches blistering proportions.

As Smoke's past unravels and the one person he hopes never to lay eyes on again messes with all he holds sacred, it's time to involve the Disciples. Problem is, he'll have to risk his membership, his heart, and his own hide to keep everyone he cares about safe.

Contains mature themes.

When “found family” won’t support you fully

Smoke is part of a motorcycle club (trying to improve their image) who rescued him from a drug addiction and involvement with a “worse” club (selling and using drugs). Vaughn is a bar owner whose business was saved by the same club. Their attraction is strong from their first meeting but these types of groups are homophobic and neither man is willing to risk losing their support and respect (and potentially worse). Circumstances bring them together and they must decide if their relationship is worth coming out.
I love Iggy but the other narrator was frustrating to listen to, like the other reviewer said. His voice just didn’t seem to match the character and the “other voices” were so overdone. He did get more tolerable as the book went on (or I just built up a tolerance).
The attraction is steamy and the scenes are very spicy and often. As a couple, they are so sweet and express their feelings so beautifully.

Great story for the genre

only slightly predictable, but I 'm loving the series so far.
Iggy is always one of my favorites - very expressive and so versatile. However, and I am usually very forgiving and try to find the redeeming qualities of a narrator, but Tristan James' narration was so hard to listen to I almost didn't make it through the whole book. Really cringy.
