Wondered who those other people were!
The Daughter in Law, written by Nina Manning and well narrated by Helen Keeley and Candida Gubbins, was a true mystery! The psychological twists and turns at the end explained it all. I'd recommend this.

The story dragged on
To say that they lost me was an understatement. I skipped the last three hours, tuned in for the last half an hour and got the gist of it. It started good, but too much nothingness took over.

Engrossing Listen
I tackled a painting job and barely noticed the task I was so engrossed. I think even my cutting in was better.

Amazing listen

You won't like a single character
narrator was excellent, story was ok, but the characters.... so horrible. I hated the main characters so much. One your supposed to hate as she is evil and vile... but there is no build up to that, she starts that way. the other starts strong and intelligent, but allows circumstances to beat her down so that she can't even grasp the tiniest bit of what's going on, and you don't feel bad or sorry for her, you feel like knocking her on the head and saying wake up and see what's going on. story is a tad predictable. overall nice narration, but the rest is drivel.

Very repetitive ...
The story had potential and the first part was fast paced and engaging. Then it became sooooo repetitive...one saying how she's made to be a mother and the other dozing in and off of consciousness...over and over again. The ending came abruptly and out of nowhere...with sudden lucidity and helpful neighbors. Really, that was all you could do after i listened for 9 hours? The narrators were great though, they did a good job.

wow amazing read
wow! this was an amazing read. I was very shocked at the end although I did have my suspicions all along it still blew me away. I felt many emotions and as a mother myself I wanted to scream at certain parts. amazing author and the narrators did a fantastic job portraying the story. Thank you 😊
