I really wanted to like it
This is the first Salvatore book I am listening to that is not part of the Forgotten Realm series. The beginning and introduction of characters was great, lot of good effort to build up the characters before putting them onto their adventure. In general the characters themselves were well crafted. The ending however felt less crafted and did not evoke any sense of loss when 3 of the characters were killed off. Who knows maybe the characters are not dead and will come back in later books. I just did not like how the story ended.
