In the stunning climax of New York Times best-selling author Mary Monroe's Lonely Heart, Deadly Heart series, the tension - and the heat - reach unforgettable heights as two restless women go after the ultimate satisfaction...and a killer desire prepares to strike.

For best friends Lola Poole and Joan Proctor-Riley, there's never too much when it comes to online dating rich, no-commitment lovers. It's a fantasy come true and makes their unhappy lives bearable. But there's no escape when Lola's vicious relatives cheat her out of everything that's hers and Joan's husband pulls a devastating betrayal. With nothing to lose, the two will do everything and anything to lock down Mr. Right and lifetime satisfaction.

With his scorching sexual healing and compassionate nature, handsome trucker Calvin Ramsey keeps coming out on top with Lola. And she's this close to winning his love and finally getting the loving family of her dreams. But she doesn't suspect that Calvin's idea of making a woman his own is a fatal affair. Now, his gentle reassurances and sensual promises are spinning a web where Lola's deepest longings could be the deadliest trap of all.

Missed the original narrators

This book would have been better if the original narrators told the story. While the story had to end, Bishop Banks voice was distracting for Calvin’s character. It didn’t ring true to me. Joan and Lola’s narrators were a little more easier to listen to but I still didn’t like the change. Mary Monroe is a great writer but I didn’t like this book as much as the first two. Narrators can either make or break a book. The right voice or voices can take a story to higher heights.

My twisted review

First off if you have listened to the prequal of this book, you may be disappointed by the change of the characters voices. The two books following this one had a great guy voice as Calvin and he was believeable. This book had a Calvin that took time to get used to. His speed was too fast in comparison w the last Cavins voice. The story itself seemed to move very slow and then at the end send rushed.

She did it again another page turner

I loved the book couldn't stop listening. After reading the first book I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. I loved how she tied everything together and how it ended. Leaving no more questions. The narrator was good too.

Performers

Enjoyed the entire book with the exception of changing the Calvin character narrator. The first Calvin was awesome, especially his voice.
