A place you will never forget. Rosamunde Pilcher's Scotland...where the fields flourish with greenery, the bills bloom with purple, and the lochs glitter with the bright blue of the sky. A time you will never forget. September...when the heather is in full flower, the first chill of autumn cools the air, and the countryside stirs with the hunt, balls, dinner parties, and dance. Rosamunde Pilcher's September...a story of homecomings and heartbreaks, friendships, betrayals, forgiveness, and love.

"It is never too soon to discover Rosamunde Pilcher." (Good Housekeeping)
When you listen to an audiobook by Rosamunde Pilcher you enter a special world where emotions sing from the heart. A world that lovingly captures the ties that bind us to one another - the joys and sorrows, heartbreaks and misunderstandings, and glad, perfect moments when we are in true harmony. A world filled with evocative, engrossing, and above all, enjoyable portraits of people's lives and loves, tenderly laid open for us....
At 27, Virginia Keile had been through the most intense experiences life had to offer - a magical first love ending in heartbreak, a suitable marriage, motherhood, and widowhood. Perfect for a summer afternoon
I loved this book. I lost myself in the lovely descriptions of Cornwall and the characters. The narrator did a great job of putting you right in the story. My only complaint is that it was TOO short. I wanted it to go on for a much longer time.

I am sure they got the chapters confused
I am sure the chapters were out of order. The book made no sense at all. I finally started skipping over chapters that were obviously not where they should be What a shame. And IF it was in the right order, then it deserves NO stars!

Another lovely story by Rosamunde Pilcher
Helen Johns narrates RP’s stories so beautifully. Usually I am bored by descriptions of scenery but RP’s are so vivid and bring you right there into the scene. I get much pleasure from her stories and this is a good one.

So sweet but too short
Rosamunde P is one of my favorite writers and with Helen narrating it just couldn’t be better! I loved this story! Loved the description and witty phrases. It just ended too soon, 5 hours I think. Makes me wish I lived in one of her books in England on a idyllic cozy little farm with a cook and a beach near by.

OK story
Not really in my wheel house, but I enjoyed it. The narrator was perfect for the person that Virginia seemed to be.

Was OK until the ending
I've read Pilcher before and really liked her, but this one is poor. Plot needs some work and there really isn't an ending. Too bad.
