Publisher's Summary

“I want so much to blame you for this. You got me involved and started me on a path. You educated me and taught me how to think. You showed me how to look at everything and everyone differently, taught me skills and had others teach me. You readied me to make war with hell, Dad...and then...you never came home. This person I’ve become...you created her; everything suppressed and lying dormant was awakened by what you did...” (Lauren Russell - from Indivisible, book six of the What’s Left of My World Series)

A world subjugated by tyranny.

A society unraveled.

A nation in shambles.

A population decimated.

A future boundlessly uncertain.

A community of families on the verge of extinction.

The Russell family is finally reunited and the citizens of Trout Run Valley are blessed with a period of repose, but the interlude does not last. Measures of aggression resume against them yet again, only this time, escalate to an unprecedented degree of ruthlessness, forcing the surviving victims to their breaking points.

Lauren Russell has fearlessly fought for her community, for her family and friends, for herself and for the rights of those foreign to her. Now, she finds herself battling insurmountable odds once again for everything she has left - for what’s left of her world.

How far will Lauren go to put an end to the oppression that has so relentlessly plagued her existence?

Will she right all the wrongs on her own?

Is she prepared to go to war?

✫✫ 4 Stars ✫✫

I had a rough start with this one but only because I couldn't remember enough details from book 6 so I felt lost in the beginning. I probably should have re-listened to book 6 before starting, that's on me. This world is getting crazier and in this book things are starting to all come to a head. This book was very action packed but also emotional. Lauren is growing up and realizing her strengths and faults and I think in the end she is finally realizing she doesn't have to save the world alone. Also in the end of this one we start to see plans being made and ideas forming that makes me think book 8 is going to be crazy and the most action packed of them all.

The narration was great as always!

A story worthy of discussion

I have read The Rights of Man and Common Sense by Thomas Paine, a quote of his being referenced in the closing chapter and from the opening quote from William Pitt the Younger, this is a book I had a hard time putting down. The story is great in it's own right but an excellent continuation of the series too. The character dialog is how I wish more people would communicate; clear and thoughtful. This is much more than unbridled hostility and looks very closely at what tyranny and freedom really mean.

Perfection!

Hurry with the next one!
Wonderful pick up where we left off, I didn't have to go back to be current, a real struggle with serial listening/reading.
Wouldn't be the same without Mr. Pierce. Great job gentlemen!
