Publisher's Summary

Do you feel too sensitive for this world? Are you at the mercy of your emotions, overwhelmed by your environment, and easily triggered by other people’s feelings?

You aren’t alone. Millions of highly sensitive people (HSP) feel exactly the same way.

If you’ve always felt more delicate, more easily overwhelmed by sensory input, and more empathetic than those around you, you are probably an HSP. Sensitivity is a blessing, but it’s hard to thrive as an HSP in a competitive society that perceives emotional expression as a sign of weakness.

So how do you develop the skills and tools you need to successfully navigate your way through life as an HSP? As someone attuned to the emotions of everyone around you, how can you protect yourself against emotional overwhelm, negative energy, and psychological distress?

In The Highly Sensitive: How to Stop Emotional Overload, Relieve Anxiety, and Eliminate Negative Energy, you will discover why high sensitivity is a gift that requires careful management. You will learn how to solve the common problems faced by HSPs the world over and how to live a happy, fulfilling life that lets you use your abilities to the fullest. Specifically, you will discover:

  • What it means to be an HSP and what sets HSPs apart from the general population
  • How to cope with emotional overwhelm
  • How to protect yourself from the negative energy of other people
  • How to cleanse yourself of toxic energy and live in harmony with your environment
  • How to form healthy relationships
  • How to set boundaries and say “no” to people and situations that are not right for you

Empower yourself by downloading this invaluable guide to living as an HSP. Within just a few hours, you will develop an in-depth understanding of your true self and begin to realize your full potential.

This book is packed with helpful advice and strategies you can use to live a balanced and meaningful life as an HSP. You can start implementing the simple yet powerful techniques in this book today!

It's ok...

Helped me gain a good understanding of myself as a highly sensitive person but didn't dive too deep into much detail. Horribly narrated, there was absolutely no compassion or comfort in the tone of voice. That made it very difficult to listen to, especially as a HSP! Overall I'm glad I listened but wasn't really what I was looking for.

What a waste of time

This is a short book that does not even begin to delve into the psychology of “The Highly Sensitive” genre. Talk of spreading spices like oregano that might sooth the sensitive mind is not what I am looking for. Not a good read for those looking for help in how to understand the sensitive mind in a psychological sense. Might be good for practical minds looking for kitchen aids.

It does help me to understand my self

I didn’t expect to listen such a helpful information.
I am 21 years old man, so I always thought maybe
I am too sensitive compare with other peers.
And I also thought I always wondered why I just couldn’t say no to others and feel others too much.
Now I understand I am not a stranger, but normal just
like anyone else. I am really glad to know part of my identity. Thank you

I found me in this book.

This is a wonderful book listen to that so many aspects of me (us) are included. It becomes very lonely when you are sensitive & others sometimes crass. This is a keeper so when your sensitivity flares up just turn the book on & remind yourself its ok.

Helpful

Helpful little guide to taking care of yourself as an HSP. A little bit on the new agey side at times, but still lots of practical info.

Wow, just wow!

Wow, just wow! I still haven't completed reading the book but have finished more than half of it. I have always struggled with being more sensitive to other people's reactions than most of the people around me and I couldn't quite figure out why. Listening to this book has certainly helped me understand myself a lot better and I hope to manage my cards better in the future. It felt scary at times though considering how true most of the things were.

Incredible Book

This book is life-changing for a sensitive personality. The author starts off sounding a little neurotic but the book gets better. What you don't learn here is enough about work where many HSPs struggle. And a follow up about work is not written by the author.

Well Worth

This book is well worth the book. Currently, I am up to chapter 5, devouring it as a piece of rich dark chocolate. Unfolding the shinny gold wrapper, taking a small nibble, swilling the bittersweet decadent flavor around my mouth, then reluctantly swallowing.

a Life-Changing Book

This book is life-changing for a sensitive personality. The author starts off sounding a little neurotic but the book gets better. What you don't learn here is enough about work where many HSPs struggle. And a follow up about work is not written by the author. There are lots of life-changing tips and you feel like what he is saying is like finding where you truly have belonged your whole life. Not only should buy this book but then you'll want to buy it and give it to other HSPs you identify.
