Publisher's Summary

The Witcher returns in this action-packed sequel to The Tower of Swallows, in the New York Times best-selling series that inspired The Witcher video games.

After walking through the portal in the Tower of Swallows while narrowly escaping death, Ciri finds herself in a completely different world...an Elven world. She is trapped, with no way out. Time does not seem to exist, and there are no obvious borders or portals to cross back into her home world.

But this is Ciri, the child of prophecy, and she will not be defeated. She knows she must escape to finally rejoin the Witcher, Geralt, and his companions - and also to try to conquer her worst nightmare. Leo Bonhart, the man who chased, wounded, and tortured Ciri, is still on her trail. And the world is still at war.

Translated from the original Polish by David French.

Featured Article: The Witcher Audiobooks in Chronological Order

The fantasy series is centred around four characters: the witcher Geralt of Rivia, his friend Dandelion, the sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg and Princess Cirilla "Ciri" of Cintra. The novels, however, feature more than a dozen other recurring characters. The first book of The Witcher Saga, which debuted in 1992, is about Geralt, a slayer of monsters, dragons, and vampires. The last novel in The Witcher series was published in 2013. We’ll show you how to navigate The Witcher Saga in the right order.

unsure

ended quite instantaneously and without much explanation like all the series but a bit odd for the end of one.

Great Book, good ending!

My only complaint is that so much time was spent in other parts of the world and could have been dedicated to enriching the main story a bit more.

The wrap up was kind of rushed.

The wrap up felt kind of rushed and the important events that concluded situations felt a bit random.

Draws you into the world of the Witcher, loved it.

Fantastic series, this book was no exception. Loved the story, it really draws you in.

if you've played the games and never read the books I highly recommend reading (or listening to) them.

Awesome finale

Peter Kenny nails it again. Great story, great performance, and for Witcher gamers, is a cool way to lead into the games

Adventures of Geralt of Rivia & Ciri

Excellent adventure with Geralt and Ciri. Brought back to so many great locations such as Toussaint. I couldn't put this book down. Would highly recommend.

The ending though

It is only a shame that the ending is so open but the story on itself is nothing short of amazing.
