A Fantastic Interpretation

Revisiting this novel after 30 years, and am amazed at how well it has aged. Surprisingly reflective of our time, from the rise of populism to the era of incels, and especially everything Brexit. Absolutely stellar narration.

Boring

I am dying of boredom and I have another 13 hours to go. Do I buck up and endure it to the end or is life too short to bother?
Where is the greatness of this book? I can’t seem to find anything enrapturing about it. It’s certainly can’t hold a candle to David Copperfield nor Of Human Bondage nor even The Catcher in the Rye as far as being a “finding one’s self” kind of book. Oh, groan! I will probably endure and maybe my review will change.
