Histoire
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Histoire
A middle-aged man returns to his childhood home to attend a funeral. He is drawn to the farm at the end of the road, where, when he was seven, he encountered a most remarkable girl, Lettie Hempstock. Forty years earlier, a man committed suicide in a stolen car at this farm at the end of the road. Like a fuse on a firework, his death lit a touchpaper and resonated in unimaginable ways. The darkness was unleashed, something scary and thoroughly incomprehensible to a little boy. And Lettie - magical, comforting, wise beyond her years - promised to protect him, no matter what.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. Description
A brand-new production of Andy Weir’s modern sci-fi classic, narrated by the incomparable Wil Wheaton, and featuring bonus content from the writings of Mark Watney.
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars.
Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there.
After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive.
Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plain old "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.
But Mark isn't ready to give up yet. Drawing on his ingenuity, his engineering skills - and a relentless, dogged refusal to quit - he steadfastly confronts one seemingly insurmountable obstacle after the next. Will his resourcefulness be enough to overcome the impossible odds against him?
Wil Wheaton, who has lent his voice to sci-fi blockbusters like Ready Player One and Redshirts, breathes new life (and plenty of sarcasm) into the iconic character of Mark Watney, making this edition a must-listen for both longtime fans of The Martian and new listeners alike.
BONUS MATERIAL: This edition includes the following extras:
- “Diary of an AssCan” - Mark Watney, new astronaut
- “I Made It!” - A happy letter to Mom
- “Car Trouble” - A somewhat sad letter to Mom
- “The Earthling” - A postscript. *Available for the first time in this recording

Well worth it for Wil Wheaton.
I watched the movie. I listened to interviews about the book on StarTalk Radio. I bought it on audio book when I found out Wil Wheaton read it. He kept every character distinct along with just a hint of his presence. He kept the drama dramatic, and he swore the way I would have in those precious moments. Love the details Weir put into it. Really great science fiction with expert narration.

Fantastic!
Some people might be hardline Bray fans and not like this book. I am both a hardline Wheaton AND Bray fan.
They both have different styles, and that's why I now own and love both versions. Wil does an amazing job reading some of John Scalzi's books. This is a perfect segway.

Phenomenal book! Science fiction that's realistic and smart, but still remains approachable. Wil Wheaton does a great job of narrating, his tone is perfect for the story - and especially for the main character!

Fantastically written and narrated. Wil Wheaton surprised me with how good of a narrator he actually is. Reading this (listening) took me to mars and put me in an EVA suit and made me fear for my life. Edge of your acceleration couch kind of stuff. Fabulous book. You don’t want to skip it.
