This book really shows how Mayte is a strong, powerful, persevering, lioness. The testimony she graciously shared with us inspired and impacted me to no end. The way Mayte taught me about the beautiful art of belly dancing motivated me to start taking classes myself. The incredible feeling of your hips swaying to the rhythmic beats and your tassels swinging freely from your bedlah, is like no other. The love shared between the majestic Mayte and perfect Prince made me hopeful that there is a love out there waiting for me. Her moving adoption story left me in tears. It even influenced me to pursue adoption after facing fertility issues, in my own life. My beautiful Theodore was just cleared so now I can officially adopt him! I have never said something with more certainty than when I say; you MUST read this book! The everlasting impact that this written masterpiece imposed on me, has been life changing.

I’ll be honest. I did not want to read this book at first. I was afraid of how an ex-wife would portray Prince. I am so happy I chose to listen to the audio version. Hearing Mayte share her own stories in her own voice was beautiful. And very open and honest and respectful of his legacy. I recommend to everyone.
