If you like hard SF and trippy science, this book is for you. It’s also a very fun heist story that is thoroughly enjoyable even if you can’t follow the science. A brilliant debut novel from a skilled SF writer. The narrator is also phenomenal; such a rich and varied performance. I love this book.

What a surprise. The depth and breadth of this story is so complex yet so fun. Like 40k but with humour. Like... There is a race of French Canadians who speak French 8.1, swear en francais colis. I'd give this another 5 stars if I could.

Listened to this book and found all the hard science awesome to listen to. A listen that challenged my understanding of storytelling and science which was refreshing. Excellent world building. Worth the listen. Moving on to number 2.

The book was much better than I expected it to be. More and more was slowly revealed about the wonderful world the author created.

Narration almost caused me to drop the book, but I turned up the speed of narration to 120% and it fixed everything. at that speed the moments of excitement were performed extremely well and fit the storyline of certain characters with their enhanced actions speed... World build was unique and had a foreign film feel to it... Overall, I give this title a solid recommendation 👌.

Slow spots and the narration can pit off, but it's good 👍.

I saw the reviews on this a long time ago, they were terrible, so I did not bother to download it. Recently it started showing up on my recommended list, the reviews on it were very positive, so, sheep that I am, I downloaded it, forgetting about the earlier reviews. I can safely say, the early reviews were spot on. The book is incomprehensible - I am returning it, I cannot even get to the end of chapter one!
