Publisher's Summary

Acclaimed author Lori Wick is one of the best-selling Christian fiction authors in the world, with more than two and a half million copies of her books in print, including The Proposal. When Anne Gardiner slips off a ladder, she falls—quite literally—into the arms of a handsome stranger named Robert Weston. Anne’s father decides the couple must marry immediately, but Robert isn’t entirely fond of that plan. The Rescue is a moving story that shows how God’s love can touch each person in a unique way.

sweet favorites

When Anne is forced to marry a stranger by her delusional father a long chain of events is set into motion.
This isn't a book of thrills or mysteries but an easy read with a likeable cast. the English garden series has long been a favorite of mine and it's hard for me to choose a favorite. Not overly mushy, with a healthy dose of belief and dependence on God, each book is a treat, and the reader here is very easy to listen to. all 4 books stay within a close knit group of friends.
